The team at The Refinishing Touch recently had the pleasure of working in beautiful Monterey to complete a reupholstery project for a global hotel brand. Working in the golden state we were blessed with breath-taking views and gorgeous weather, which of course made our time there even more enjoyable. The team was tasked with reupholstering a number of furniture assets including ottomans and lounge chairs.
Choosing to explore asset management instead of simply replacing items saved the hotel 43 percent in budget costs. The project was completed on site which meant shipping costs were eliminated and downtime was drastically reduced.
The manager we worked with was enthusiastic from the start and said, “This was our first experience in reupholstery and it won’t be our last – it wasn’t just cost effective, but delivered outstanding quality and is an environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to asset management.”
We’re thrilled we were able meet expectations of such an innovative hotel brand, and we’re excited to continue working with an industry leader. With each new client that understands and experiences the quality and cost and environmental benefits furniture asset management can bring, we get a step closer to a more efficient and sustainable approach to furniture in the hospitality industry.
